Getting started
How do I save a song or video?
- Open the Download tab and paste a link.
- Tap Check link, choose MP3 (audio) or MP4 (video), and start the download.
- When it finishes, the file appears in your library and in the Player.
Can I save a whole playlist?
Yes. Paste a playlist link and AiDo offers to save every item in it. You can keep listening while the files arrive.
Where are my files?
In the AiDo folder. On iPhone and iPad, open the Files app and go to On My iPhone (or On My iPad) › AiDo. On Mac and Windows the folder is Music › AiDo in your home folder. You can add your own MP3 and MP4 files there too; they appear in AiDo automatically.
Playing
Does music keep playing when I lock the screen?
Yes. Playback continues in the background and you can play, pause and skip from the lock screen and Control Center. Videos keep playing their sound when you switch apps and show the picture again when you return.
How do the play list, loop and shuffle work?
- Only checked files play. Uncheck a file to skip it.
- The loop button cycles through: Loop off (play the list once), Loop whole list, and Repeat this song only.
- Shuffle plays every checked file once, in random order, before any file repeats.
Troubleshooting
A song won't play, or I see "Cannot play … (code=4)"
AiDo recovers from this automatically and retries. If the same file still won't play, it may be damaged or in a format AiDo can't read: delete it and save it again. If no file plays at all, close AiDo and open it again, then contact us with your version.
A download fails
- Check your internet connection and try again.
- Make sure the link opens in a web browser. Private or removed content can't be saved.
- Check free space: the Home screen shows how much storage is left.
My device is running out of space
Delete files you no longer need from the Player list (the trash icon), or from the AiDo folder in the Files app. Tap the storage row on the Home screen to open your device's storage settings.
